After spending a few minutes reading a phoneme section in one of the books, I looked to my Saturday errands as a chance to practice in the car. One small lesson at a time, five minutes here, five minutes there. It will add up. The lessons on the hard letters to do seem way important.
After my wife and I got a small grocery list together, I shuddered. The list read:
Bread
Brats
Buns
Butter
Buttermilk
Did it have to be all Bs? A long line of dredded Bs?
Milk, meat, and mustard would have made more of a baby step lesson.
