No Such Thing as a Hobby

I'm not the kind of person who has "hobbies." The whole concept seems to be that if it's a hobby, it is lesser in importance or potential. Maybe Ethan Allen did some whittling as a hobby. Maybe Bill Gates dinked around with ham radio in his parents basement as a hobby at some point.

But there are so many things I ache to be good at. So when does a budding Renaissance man become a Renaissance man (small m)?

And then - a Renaissance Man (Capital M)?
