Love and Logic

Here's a logic lesson for my regular readers.

If..

"Love is the difficult realization that something other than oneself is real. "
Iris Murdoch (1919 - 1999)
British novelist

and

"Dan loves his puppet George."
Dan Bushman (1960 - )
Budding Ventriloquist

Then...

"Realize that George is real."

Capisce?

###

The correct spelling is capisce; not capiche, kapeesh, or anything else.

It is Italian for "Do you understand?"
The infinitive form is capire and it is an irregular verb.
ce and ci have a soft sound in Italian. The pronunciation of Capiche would be Kapeekay.

If Budding Ventriloquist stands for anything, it's rigorous journalistic research and integrity. But you already knew that, didn't you?
###

And... thanks to someone who identified herself only as "Sicilian Godmother" for answering this on the web on "Yahoo!Answers".  Dare I really be grateful to a Sicilian Godmother? Should I someday expect an offer I can't refuse?
